27 May 2007
Woah, it's been a long time since we updated this. 2006 came and went and it was spectacular. We had a strong post-apocalyptic theme and it really carried well across the visual, musical, and activities. This year we're totally re-doing the decor for a whole new direction. Expect 700 people enjoying a great time.

4 Jul 2005
Whew, it's done, and it was spectacular. We had a lot of people asking about the music play list, the posters, T-shirts, and how they can help. The shirts are available for sale and donations are happily accepted. The music play list has been posted too. Thanks for coming. |
28 Jun 2005
Everything's pretty much ready. T-shirts are printed (and available), posters are made, food is bought, videos are done, activities planned, music picked, decor built and caffine ingested. See you on Friday!

Our level of extravagance is directly proportional to your level of generosity, so if you're so inclined head over to the support page and help us do this one up right!

You can't tell it from the lack of activity on this site, but
we've been busy as can be. Construction, planning, ordering -- it's going to be an amazing year. The t-shirts are in and they look great. To find out how you can get one check out
the support page.
We've also set up a mailing list to which interested parties can receive and hear dystopia party news. It's low traffic and spam-free, so join and keep abrest of major party events.

ORIGINS
Members of the Dystopia Party organizing committee have been
attending CONvergence since its inception and sci-fi/fantasy
conventions in general for a long while. For years we'd
propose a theme, fail to act on it, and then see someone else do
something similar in later years. After Convergence 2002 a
dystopian future theme was proposed, and we rushed to execute.
Six months of planning, vast quantities of dollars, and many sleepless
nights later the Dystopia Party 2003 was a huge success.
We've continued yearly with a modified theme each time. Photos
and tales of past events can be found in
the archives.
